[tuton go smash! tuton also go boom! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!]

Maybe it's late to bring this up (now that the series has been
ended) but does/did anyone follow Elfquest (from WaRP graphics)????

I discovered Wendy Pini's art at a Creation Convention where
her portfolio was on display. I was taken by how she handles faces
and makes them so expressive. One could throw up the accusation that
it's all cute (and what's wrong with cute? That was Disney's key
to success) but I find the feelings and background given to the
characters are touching and enjoyable. They support 'fan' activities
with their fan club (whose publication 'Lodestone' has been behind
schedule lately) which seems to consist of people >15 years old
(very few teeny boppers) and the fanzine is very readable and
NOT SILLY OR CUTESY. 'Yearnings' is a collection of fan written
stories and is sold right next to the comicbook. Who else supports
their fans like that with their own publication? ('Yearnings 2'
has been promised to come out real soon...). I met many Elf fans
at Lunacon this year and the general consensus is that the ending
was too fast and contrived. What's your opinion? I'd like to know.

I also like Dreadstar (which began as a Marvel Graphic Novel)
