I always thought Lola's voice was described as "soft brown."

Apparently my first message didn't get everywhere.  The lyric in the popular
Kinks song "Lola", from the album "Lola vs. Powerman & the Moneygoround", is
"in a dark brown voice".  I know this because the album contains the lyrics,
they are perfectly legible, and it seems reasonable to assume that the
lyrics on the album are correct.  Now please stop discussing it.

Incidentally, if you don't have this album, you do not have a rock and roll
collection.  One of the best rock albums ever, and definitely THE best about
the rock industry itself.
