In the most recent issues of both the New Muties and the X-men, reference is made to a rock group the Nazgul, whose lead singer had his head shot off in concert. The reference is to George R.R.Martin's book The Armageddon Rag, which is about the (fictional) group and their reunion tour. It's a fun book, it's only a shame that it does't come with a sountrack.
