RE: Shooter's comments that he's discontinuing comics that are "selling well". Chuq wondered how discontinuing a comic that is "selling well" could make good business sense... Well, there's this concept called "opportunity cost". If you're in business doing something, and you`re making X dollars, while the same staff could be doing something else and making X+Y dollars, then the current activity is costing you money (the extra Y dollars you could be making). I guess Shooter is planning to kill off some comics that are "doing well" so that he can re-assign the staff to something he figures will "do real well". (Don't say he should just hire more people; business economics are not that simple, nor is a good staff that easy to find). Does this mean he'll drop comics like Power Man and Iron Fist to do "Son of Secret Wars meets Rocky IV"? Well, if it sells, he probably will. Hey, this ain't art, it's business!
