*****Sorry, got cut off in the middle of posting.....
If you've been following the self-published Tandra series
of black & white comics and graphic albums,
which include "Wizard Ring", "The Iron Cloud", and "The Alpha Men",
you will be pleased to know that they are going to be reprinted
in full color.
If you have never heard of them, they are a series of stories in
a variety of formats (strips, fairly conventional comic-book
narratives, and big pin-up type albums) about
a man from Earth who travels to another dimension,
meets and rescues a beautiful woman (of course), gets
involved in political intrigue, and sets out to
find out what is REALLY going on in the world.
The art is pretty good (and gets better as the artist goes
along), the characters are varied and appealing, and the
setting is intriguing.
The writer and artist is named Hanther (can't remember his first
name, but his company is called Hanthercraft).
Anyway, all this stuff is announced
in the latest issue of FIGMENTS UNLIMITED (#3).
They also announce a bunch of other mags they will be
publishing soon, but seeing as they were supposed to
come out in early 1985, it loooks like the whole line
has been pushed back.
For the record, Tandra is supposed too premier in
May, 1985 from:
