Respective of an earlier discussion about the SUPERMAN ANNUAL, someone mentioned that in Mongul's fantasy sequence, one of his worshipers is the Monitor. Since I hadn't noticed that when I first read the comic, I checked it out. I don't think that it's the Monitor (I think the original poster --- I forget who it was at this point; sorry --- was referring to the figure on the far left of the panel). It looks more like the Martian Manhunter to me. That would seem more logical, since it's not clear that Mongul knows about the Monitor, but he definitely knows the MM (see DC COMICS PRESENTS #27). I only recognized one other character --- Adam Strange --- though another one seems damn familiar. --- jayembee (Jerry Boyajian, DEC, Acton-Nagog, MA) UUCP: {decvax|ihnp4|allegra|ucbvax|...}!decwrl!dec-rhea!dec-akov68!boyajian ARPA: boyajian%akov68.DEC@DECWRL.ARPA

(That *was* a very good book. We got to see a *Super*man, not whoever appears in those stories that Schaffenberger draws.) -- Back on the freeway, which is already in progress, Allen Grabert (...ittatc!bunker!allen)
