From the hallowed pages of The Comics Buyer's Guide:

Universal and Lucasfilm are beginning filming this fall of a live-action
comedy version of... Howard the Duck, one of the biggest (read, only) hits
produced by Marvel Comics in the mid-seventies. It has a relatively small
budget (especially for a Lucusfilm) -- $20 million -- and it has not been
mentioned yet whether Howard is a guy in a duck suit, or what. Looks like a
job for... Carlo Rambaldi!! Also, no comics people seem involved with the
writing...

Irvin Kershner, the director of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and NEVER SAY NEVER
AGAIN, will be directing the CBS TV pilot for Ecliple's comic series THE
DNAgents.

The ribald Swords & Sorcery comics GHITA, by Frank Thorne, has been optioned
for motion picture. Should play well to the drive-in crowd, says I...

        "There they are! Dirty Towel-Heads!
         HEEEEEEY-OOOOH!"
"What are you doing? We're on your
                                           side! We're with the U.N.!"
"You-Win, huh? I'll show you what we
         think of you One-Worlders! Eat
         Lead, Bedouin Thugs!"
