[net.comics] Kal-Els powers

Seeing all this comparison between The Gladiator and Superman, I noticed that
no one mentioned that Byrne Even used a little play on words (or letters
actually) in the FF issue before the Gladiator story. At the end of the issue
there was the usual "Next Issue" preview & if memory serves, it said something
like "Next Issue: superman". I'm not sure but I even think that the story with
the Gladiator was called "superman". So I doubt the simlarity is coincidental.

Actually, the issue was called

      MAN AND SUPERMAN

I presume this is after George Bernard Shaw...

For some reason, I did not see the original to this article on the
net. Could someone be kind enough to send me a copy?

As I recall, the issue was titled "Man and Superman". Incidentally, the
first time I heard of the "mental powers" theory for Superman's powers was
in a letter to the The Comics Reader written by ... John Byrne. That was a
long time ago, 1978 or so. Did anyone else see this?
