Going almost unnoticed right now in the Marvel universe is a real secret war. In a number of Marvel titles, an unknown being has been going around wasting villains. So far, this person has attempted, and in most cases succeeded to kill the following villains: Enforcer (killed in IRON MAN) Miracle Man (in THING) Hate-Monger (killed in FANTASTIC FOUR or SECRET WARS II) Megatak (killed in THOR) Constrictor (still alive: attempt in CAPTAIN AMERICA) There is at least one more that I can't remember at the moment. I see no discernible pattern to these attacks except that: a. They all occur in the New York area ( I think, at least ) and b. This all started around the time that SWII started. Has anything on this showed up in the fan press? I mean, they killed at least 4 or 5 villains off now, including one of their oldest ( Miracle Man, FANTASTIC FOUR #3 ). These changes are more radical than the ones in Secret Wars! I mean, like, *death*, ya know? Also, while we're discussing weird crossovers, I'd like to mention something a friend of mine recently pointed out -- in THOR 362, on the bottom of one of the first few pages, is a woman with shoulder-length hair and an "X" on her belt buckle, in Valhalla ( or wherever ). Hmm -- an unknown "X-factor" crossover, or a Simonson joke? RD Fozz Francis ..!cbosgd!osu-eddie!francis or francis@osu-eddie.UUCP
