Situation : Jonah Hex is in the back seat of a car which has no driver and is out of control and heading for a group of nuns and children ( orphans? ) Obvious Way Out : Jonah 'figgers out' that the steering wheel controls the car and grabs it to turn the car away from the crowd. WRONG! First of all, it's been done. Katma Tui, the alien GL ( A Red & Green Lantern? Is that an ethnic joke? :-) ) did it when she was kidnapped during her last visit on Earth. Secondly, Jonah has NO knowledge of mechanics, ( I'm assuming that this is Jonah Hex, not Hex comic series even though they're the same guy. Huh? ) My solution : Jonah pulls out his guns and 'blows this critters brains out if it has any' and shoots into the dashboard. The bullets go into the engine and blow it off it blocks a la Dirty Harry. The car comes to a screeching halt inches from a nun/orphan. Misc : The alien in the man in the iron lung is free again. Bats cut *ALL* the power when he severed the line. ( The Man In The Iron Lung -- sounds like a Dumas sequel :-) ) The symbol ( that can't be - he's dead ) is the symbol of iron. Ferro Lad's symbol from the LSH. He's not *yet!* ( He hasn't been born yet either but that's also a technicality! ) Besides, his ghost has been seen before. The reason there are so many dead walking around is that the aliens need bodies to walk around in to be inconspicuous (sp?). To duplicate a human body, they need the brain-wave patterns which their technology can get from photographs, hence the more often someone is photographed, the easier the process is. That's why all the dead so far have been movie stars or criminals with numerous mug shots. -- David P.
