[net.comics] "The Batman" movie --- still alive!

STARLOG's 100th anniversary issue mentioned that "'The Batman' now has a 
director".  I'm sorry, but I can't remember who he was.  I guess this means
that the project to film a new Batman movie is still alive and well.  Since
there was such a large time lapse from the last time I'd heard anything until
now, I'd figured the project died.  I guess I was wrong. Has anyone heard
anything else on the movie.

I believe it was Irv Kirshner (sp?), who directed
RETURN OF THE JEDI.
