OK, everybody, take out a BIG crayon (so he can read it), and write down: Dear Jimmy, Many, many years ago I started reading comic books again, even though I was already (almost) a grown-up. A lot of my friends thought I was just being a big baby; but these new comic books had a lot of neat stuff in them. Especially the ones that were put out by a company called Marvel -- YOUR company, Jimmy! But I was reading a bunch of the ones that are being written today. And you know what, Jimmy? Either I was growing up a heck of a lot faster than I used to, or these books were going back to a more and more childish level of audience. Anyway, I really have to go and play with the big boys now. If I ever hear that some of my good old buddies are grown up again, then I might (might!) come back. But now, I gotta run. So long. [your name] So long, net.comics. I've decided to give up on it. Sh**ter's bad direction is just one reason -- I do have a few other things to get on to. I won't see any replies to net.comics, so if you think I'd like to see them, mail them. Bye. -- Joe Yao hadron!jsdy@seismo.{CSS.GOV,ARPA,UUCP}
