[net.comics] Nov 29 CBG news

m1b@rayssd.UUCP (M. Joseph Barone) (11/20/85)

In the November 29 issue of CBG:

	- Batman will leave the Outsiders in 'Batman and the
Outsiders' #32. The book will be renamed 'The Adventures of
the Outsiders' with #33. (Personally, 'Tales of the Outsiders'
would be more appropriate. :-)) Old news, you say? Well,
Batman will then rejoin the JLA.

The following are projects that DC "plans" to do in 1986:

	- DC will release a graphic novel entitled 'The Last Days
of the Justice Society of America'. This is their first graphic
novel involving DC characters. There will also be a 'Teen Titan
Spotlight', highlighting the Teen Titan characters by Wolfman and
various artists. Sounds like a mini series but they didn't say.

	- Mini series will abound in 1986. There will be 'The Legend
of Wonder Woman', 'The Shadow', 'The Dark Knight' by Miller, 'Lords
of the Ultra Realm', 'Ambush Bug', 'Watchmen' by Moore, 'History of
the DC Universe', and 'Lois Lane'.

	- There will be several 'ongoing' series (the following titles
imply a different meaning to 'ongoing' than what I think it means!).
They are: 'Electric Warriors', a direct sales only book, 'Blue Beetle',
'Hawkman', and 'Wonder Woman'.

	- SF graphic novels that will be released in 1986 include the
adaptation of Pohls's 'The Merchants of Venus', Ellison's 'Demon with
a Glass Hand' (Outer Limits episode), and Martin's 'Sandkings'.
