I heard a rumor that Peter O'Toole has been signed up for the part of The Joker in the expected Batman movie. Anyone else hear anything like this?

I'm not sure O'Toole is capable of a manic grin and un-tired eyes -- he's been looking pretty mellow lately. I'd go more for Malcom McDowell... "I have no talents. I have genius or nothing. I read that someone wanted Peter O'Toole to play the part of the Joker and someone else wanted Malcolm McDowell (sp?). I personally could see no one else play this Legendary Character than Jack Nicholson. The man eats Crazy Critters for breakfast. He is a marvelous actor. Peabody {"Set the Wayback, Sherman."}
