[net.comics] Jean Gray/Gwen Stacy

A long time ago Marvel resurrected Gwen Stacy (Spiderman True Love)
I am in general against resurrections, but but I soon forgave them for it,
because

1) It was well foreshadowed, and tied together some plot strands.
My impression is that it was well planed

2) The plot surrounding it was quite interesting.

3) At the time the way she came back was more original then most,
and sortof `could happen'

4) She skipped down afterwards, so it didn't really cause a major
screw ups in Spidermans life. On the other hand, I'm not so sure this makes
sense, and one wonders where she is today. Look for her in Spiderman #300
perhaps.

Consider the resurrection of Jean Gray

1) I don't think there was any foreshadowing, but its hard to tell since
the net told me it would happen. Didn't look well planned

2) The plot surrounding it is not particarly good. Its not bad
but if you want to resurrect someone you'd better have an excellant
plot in mind or else it isn't worth the headaches

3) The way she came back is absurd, and there is one plot loophole that
they can't possibly close- The Watchers speech at the end of X-MEN 137
indicated that HE certaintly thought it was the real Jean Gray.
Hey, He oughta know these things

4) She's hanging around, screwing up Scotty and Madelyne's lives.
