I read something startling (well, OK, cynically predictable) in Mile High Futures the other day...apparently one of the reasons that X-Factor was so late in coming out is that issue #1 underwent a "massive overhaul by Jim Shooter" which completely rescripted whole segments of the book (which also explains why the lettering was so ... schizophrenic).
