[net.comics] Crisis #12

kayuucee@cvl.UUCP (Kenneth W. Crist Jr.) (12/01/85)

Isn't it amazing how Crisis #12 was mysteriously delayed a week,
so that it happened to come out the same day as Secret Bores #9? It didn't
bother me all that much, but I was hoping that DC would be above this.
Is anyone surprised about the new Flash? Wasn't it obvious?

They were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Naturally they became heroes.

I'll make a guess, which is probably wrong: Frances Kane (sp?)

According to Tony Isabella, each of the DC writers turned in an
idea for the new Flash. The one they picked was logical, at least.

...
But the new Flash is no longer 'The Fastest Man Alive', since he can only
run at the speed of sound. If the new Supes is still faster then a speeding
bullet (on his feet) then he'll be able to beat Flash in a race, like he
apparently did before he lost his super-speed (enough to make Old Flash truly
the fastest man alive).

More like, isn't it amazing how Secret Bores was only a nine
issue series so that the last issue could try to take the
popularity away from Crisis? I do not think your comment
       was too fair.

As for the Flash - the remission of Kid Flash's disease was a
       little too coincidental.

And what about Angle-Man - why did he die? Was there a crossover
       which explained it or what?????
