Now that you mention it, I remember. What is W. Pini up to these days? I haven't seen any full comics story from her in ~ a year. >> An epilogue to Blood of the Innocent which is >> unnecessary and confuses the mini-series; > > I liked the mini-series! However, Eddie dying in a dream state from Dracula struck me as tacked on -- no forshadowing of it in the last chapter of the BOTI book. It seems like something was needed from BOTI in this sampler, and this was it. I would think Dracula would have been a better character to pay attention to, anyway... >> AMERICAN FLAGG! #28 [C-]: >> OK, a lot of appeal is gone with the absence of Chaykin's art -- but >> Chaykin's writing seems a little loose, also. I don't know -- Reuben has basically said "No", Keister has said to hell with Flagg, and Medea is right behind him instead of Flagg. I assumed this might be due to Reuben being a little short with everyone lately. >> Who called Medea a "bleeding >> heart", anyway -- Reuben or Keister? > > Keister, of course. I'm still convinced, however, that someone with a more precise style than Staton is required (though I think his stuff in GL has been great!). However, next to Chaykin, I'm not sure that ANYONE short of George Perez or Brian Bolland could do it with full force. Maybe Alan Davis? "For I perceive that behind this seemingly unrelated sequence of events, there lurks a singular, sinister attitude of mind." "Whose?" "MINE! HA-HA!"
