Dear Readers, I have been having an arguement with one friend about the involvment of Rachael in the X-men. Since she first arrived in the magazine, she has not really become a member of the X-men, though in her future time, they are regarded as her "family". Since she has been with the X-men her duties have been light and, even when they do battle, the amount of time she fights gets restricted by Xavier and Magneto. So I would like to know if you consider her to be a true X-man or is she simply passing time until her mother (Jean Grey) and her father (Scott Sommers) get or become married. In her case, I would think that she would profit by a marriage between Scott and Madelyn; if their marriage were the only one, then the world that Rachael was born to would never exist and her mutant tracking abilities would never be developed. Isn't it wiser for her to dream of a future in our time when entities like Sentinels don't exist? If she's considered to be an active member of the X-men, then my past points are moot, but they might be something to consider in future readings. --Paul-- "You have been targeted for termination."
