[net.comics] Pinhead in my newspaper

"Zippy" (nee The Pinhead) appears as a daily strip in the Boston
Globe (starting 1/1/86).  There is no syndication credit, just Bill
Griffith's copyright. 

Does the strip run anywhere else?

If this is a new trend toward old underground comix characters
emerging as daily newspaper strips, I'm looking for S. Clay Wilson's
"Checkered Demon and Ruby" next.

Zip also appears on the inside front page of the SF Examiner; I
suspect they're carrying it to appeal to the "new generation" of
readers they're desperately trying to recruit...
