[net.comics] Moench Batman Request & Nausicaa questions, anyone?

cc-30@cory.BERKELEY.EDU (Sean "Yoda" Rouse) (02/14/86)

Have just discovered Batman and Detective (shame on me for not picking
them up sooner.) Could someone please *MAIL* me the numbers for Moench (sp?)
issues? Also recommendations on which are the best?
As there are doubtless innumerable people on this net who will be
replying to this, if it's past Monday (2/17) please don't answer.

As for you Japanese animation people...
The UC Theater, here in Berkeley (you know the type, one of those
places that changes movies by the day, and has Rocky Horror every weekend.
You know, the place that plays the good stuff?) will be playing "Warriors of
the Wind", a.k.a. "Nausicaa" on Monday, and I'm going to see it. Anything you
want me to look out for especially? This is, in case you're wondering, the
dubbed-in-English version. And before you ask, they changed Nausicaa's
name to "Princess Zandra" (sigh. What's WRONG with leaving the name in
Japanese?) [that was a rhetorical question. Please don't answer it. It would
be too painful.]
Also tell me if you'd prefer for me to post or mail answers. [for those
few of you who might answer].

"The last registered case occureed in Peking. When the Americans dropped their
bacteriological bombs on China, the famous Seven Sages, China's central
computers, got absolutely smashed. To the question 'What would be our best
response?' they answered, 'Buy a million and a half aspirins.'"
