I store my collection in bags in boxes but I store them flat. Why is Upright a better way to store? I would think that laying them down would flatten them out better and storing them upright might tend to curl comics and put pressure on the lower edge. nivek Aka : Kevin Dowling Bell: (412) 268-8830 Arpa: nivek@rover.ri.cmu.edu Mail: Robotics Institute Schenley Park Carnegie Mellon University Pgh, PA 15213

I would think that > laying them down would flatten them out better and > storing them upright might tend to curl comics and put pressure > on the lower edge. > I don't like storing them falt because the bindings are thicker than the open side of the book, and storing them flat will allow the books to sag either at on end (if you store then with all the bindings on the same side) or in the middle (if you alternate binding right, binding left, binding right, etc...) This will warp the books and lower their re-readability and value.
