Before I get to the Marvel news, I have an announcement:

N.O.S.F.A.RATU, a one-day SF con on Sunday, March 16, also in OKC. If
you would like more information or have questions for Dave, contact me

DAREDEVIL #234 is by Gruenwald and Ditko.

     he is.

Tie-in with the Jim Henson movie starring David Bowie.

NOTABLE MARVEL TITLES SHIPPING MAY 13, 1986:

Sorry, Jim, but things look pretty boring this week.

NOTABLE MARVEL TITLES SHIPPING MAY 20, 1986:

X-MEN #209 by Claremont, Romita Jr, and Green
Guest starring the Morlocks, the Hellfire Club, Nimrod, and Spiral.
"Major battle issue, while Rachel seeks refuge in Central Park."

CAPTAIN AMERICA ANNUAL #8 by Gruenwald, Zeck, and Beatty
     Guest-starring Wolverine.

WEB OF SPIDER-MAN ANNUAL #2 by Nocenti and ART ADAMS
Featuring Warlock and the New Mutants.

NOTABLE MARVEL TITLES SHIPPING MAY 27, 1986:

     X-FACTOR #8 by L. Simonson and J. Guice
Featuring the Freedom Force and Jean Grey's search for her sister.

CLASSIC X-MEN #1 by Claremont, Cockrum, and Bolton
"Reprinting the first third of GIANT SIZE X-MEN #1" plus 20 new
pages by Cockrun and Bolton. The quote above contradicts previous
information, which stated that the last part of GS #1 would be re-
printed this issue. We'll have to wait and see, but I think the
     entire issue should be reprinted.

ALPHA FLIGHT ANNUAL #1 by Mantlo, Stroman, and Talaoc
This issue concentrates on that memorable scene from a recent issue
wherein Puck flew an airplane into Wolverine's head. The segment will
be expanded to 48 pages and new bridging material will be added.
The issue will be laser-scanned onto baxter paper so that the fans
will be able to fully appreciate the subtleties of not only Bill's
fine scripting but of the art, as well.

DR. STRANGE graphic novel by DeMatteis and Dan Green
Doc returns to the place that created him. The Ancient One has
gone, but he has left a gift - the powers of which are a mystery.

STEELGRIP STARKY #1 by Weiss and Sherman
     Featuring the "All-Purpose Power Tool".

OK, so I made up the contents of the ALPHA FLIGHT ANNUAL. Here's the
actual plot by Big Bill Mantlo:

Gilded Lily's spirit takes over the Alpha Flight mansion.

If Ambush Bug's Guardian Angel was allowed to, he'd ALSO say "Books with
Wolverine Sell!"
