How can I keep raccoons from destroying my sweet corn crop just as it comes ripe? When we tried to plant some a couple of years ago, the little critters got it all. My wife has used this ever since as an excuse not to plant corn (she prefers rutabaga, brussel sprouts, and other yucchy stuff). So, if you have a sure-fire method of dispersing the raccoons, please let me know. I'd prefer something non-poisonous (we have 2.5 kids) but if worse comes to worse, I'll try anything (I REALLY like fresh corn). Mike Lutz ucbvax!allegra!rochester!ritcv!mjl

The only thing that I remember working was putting a radio in the corn patch. All night news stations seem to keep the fellers away. -barry bhayes@sri-unix
