Once you have *got* some BEES they may like your honey. The problem is that BEES start making their hives in (at least in Ontario) May, and then forage relatively close to thier hive. If you havent seen any BEES then you dont have a nearby hive. You can wait for them to swarm (usually mid-August with the sort of BEES my uncle raised) but you wont have much of a tomato crop. There is no way that you can telegraph the BEES and tell them what a wonderful yard you have either. On the other hand, you *can* buy BEES. Beekepers usually do this in May but you can phone a local beekeeping supply house and get some. If you want to go into the beekeeping business you may need a licence, (you would if you were in Ontario). Laura Creighton utzoo!utcsstat!laura
