I am moving into a new house in November. The builder won't seed the lawn
till spring. I plan on installing a sprinkler system. What is the best
grass seed to add to the builders. The house sits on 1/2 acre of farmland.
I want to plant trees around the border. Any suggestions for the fastest
growing, densest (sp?), cheapest, type of evergreen for this purpose. I
also want to plan some regular trees (non evergreens), what
are the fastest growing shade trees?
					Thanks in advance,

Someone posted a query to the net regarding what types of trees should
be planted to produce a windbreak, and also what shade trees to plant. Fast
growing trees were desired.
I recommend that you talk to your local cooperative extension agent,
or soil conservation agent about what trees will best suit your needs. They
will know what does well in your area, can analyze the soil to see what help
it needs and what types of trees it would support, and theses agencies also
have cheap trees available in bulk (and not so bulk) quantities as part of
special programs in the spring. They are a very good resource, and are free
(your tax dollars at work).
