Someone in netland pointed out that this news group has gotten awfully quiet lately. I thought it might be useful to take some surveys, now that the gardening season is over (here in Rochester it is). I would be willing to collect the data, condense it and then post the results to the news group. Some things that I am interested in are: a) What types of mulches did you use this year? What did you like or dislike about them. How effective were they? b) What planting techniques did you use (wide row, narrow row, square foot, etc). Did you notice any significant difference in results with the various planting methods. Did one of them make the work easier? c) Did you plant anything unusual that was particularly successful that the rest of use might want to know about. (like globe artichoke in NY) If you respond, please indicate what part of the country you are from. Margaret Reek seismo!rochester!ritcv!mmr
