[net.garden] Globe Artichokes

	Has anyone out there in northern net-land tried growing globe
artichokes?  I read recently about someone in Vermont doing it, but I was 
wondering if mere mortals could be successful at it.  I live in Rochester NY 
where the growing season is not incredibly long, and the artichokes could not
hope to winter over.  The reason I am asking is that what I read indicates
they take alot of space, and I am wondering if it is worth the space and
effort to try them.  Any pointers would be appreciated.  Thanks

I understand that you need to take them inside in the cold months.  Get
some big pots, I guess.
