**** **** From the keys of Steve Henning, AT&T Bell Labs, Reading, PA aluxe!2141smh You must be more specific about what happened on what model for what purpose. I have been using a Sears 10XL with 38 inch steel housing mower for over 15 years to mow 2 acres of grass and 3 acres of Christmas tree fields with rocks, sumac stumps, and every other thing you can imagine. I have had no major problems. When a nail goes through a time it gets flat. When a bolt gets loose I must tighten it. When a blade gets dull I must sharpen it. When I hit a rock I must replace the breakaway bushing. Belts must be replaced periodically. Oil must be changed. Regarding the lawn sweeper, I have been using the same lawn sweeper for 15 years also. I replaced the bag when the first one rotted after 10 years. By the way, I just got new blades, a belt, and battery clamp from stock at the local Sears store.
