It is not uncommon to run 56K bits per second. If John Labovitz' CPM machine's serial port can run with external clocks, it is entirely feasable it could drive a MIDI @ 30K bps. I'm not real familiar with MIDI. Is it spec'd as Asynchronous or Synchronous? What voltage/current levels are utilized? John
