[net.garden] Dieffenbachia repotting?

I have dieffenbachias all over the house. They came from one my mother
gave me 10 years ago from her family of dieffenbachias. What we always
do when they get too big is:

Cut it off just above ground level. The roots will put up a new shoot.
Now cut the stalk up into 3 or 4 inch sections until the top is short
enough. Put each of the pieces, including the top, in a jar of water
until it's well rooted (about 3 or 4 weeks), then plant them.

If you don't have a big plant and a bunch of babies by the end of the
summer, I have four 12 inch ones you can have. But you have to come
to Oregon to get them.
