[] I have dieffenbachias all over the house. They came from one my mother gave me 10 years ago from her family of dieffenbachias. What we always do when they get too big is: Cut it off just above ground level. The roots will put up a new shoot. Now cut the stalk up into 3 or 4 inch sections until the top is short enough. Put each of the pieces, including the top, in a jar of water until it's well rooted (about 3 or 4 weeks), then plant them. If you don't have a big plant and a bunch of babies by the end of the summer, I have four 12 inch ones you can have. But you have to come to Oregon to get them. Rick Wilson Tektronix Beaverton, OR
