I'm a novice orchid grower and even though all my orchids seem to do well with me I haven't yet got all the intuition I need. I have a healthy Slc. "Hazel Boyd" "Lemon Drop" growing in two lines. Given those lines it is ready for division. It will need repotting this year. Now, one of the lines is actively flowering while the other is in active new growth. Are the lines out of step with each other? I don't want to hurt the flowers now, but I'd hate to shock the new growth by repotting it too late, or the older pseudobulbs by repotting when they're trying to rest. Is this really a dilemma? Would I be better off waiting a year to repot in hopes that the lines will come into step? (Even though most of the fir bark will be disintegrated?) Doug (...!ihnp4 et al.)!ahuta!sam
