Someone gave me a redwood burl. Now, how do I get it to grow? Bury the whole thing in dirt, leave the top exposed, or what? Keep it slightly or very damp? Bright light? Any advice about how to get it started and when it can be transplanted to the yard will be appreciated. (You never heard of a redwood burl, right? It's one of the clump-like things that grow at the base of a redwood tree, and, yes, there's room for a redwood in my yard, at least for the rest of my life expectancy.) Karen
