Yes, Zoysia is great, but ONLY IF THE AREA IS A WET ONE. You have to plug it in over the years, thatch it each year, and water it alot. It also takes a strong back to mow since it it so thick. We had a marvelous zoysia lawn on Long Island, but despite it being one of the wetter places in the U.S. it was still a bristly, yellow mess in the drier heat of August as well as in the cooler months.
