< Line Eater, Line Eater, Eat Me A Line > How does one successfully grow African Violets in an office with only flourescent lighting? No windows, no other source of light? I was given a beautiful plant for Secretaries Day (April) and have not had flowers since. The plant is healthy looking (green, no dead leaves), but no buds... To flower, african violets need to be fed regularly. Buy fertilizer made specifically for them (African Violet Food) and follow the directions given (mine says light feeding every two weeks). Be sure not to water the leaves or the crown, and do not overwater. Overwatering is the surest way to kill them (<- voice of experience). Sounds like you're doing everything right except feeding.
