We have a dwarf spruce which I bought last Christmas as a Christmas tree. Afterwards, we moved it outside and transplanted it into a slightly larger pot. All spring it put forth new growth enthusiastically, but over the summer all the old needles turned brown and dropped off. Now the new needles are starting to turn brown, too. Does anyone have any suggestions for saving it? This is in San Francisco, in a spot which gets sun in the mornings and shade the rest of the time.
