Does anyone have experience with cold frames? If so, what? I am thinking of making one or two of them using some old windows, heavy plastic for double glazing, pressure treated wood insulated with 2" of styrofoam insulation. I plan to make the angle of the windows about 30 degrees, measures from a horizontal plane. The angle for my area should probably be more like 60 degrees, but that is not practical for where the cold frames will be located. My guess is that the frame will be useful except in January and partly into February for growing enough lettuce to supply our salad needs. How'm I doin? Thanks! Bill Gieske AT&T-BL aluxp!wg
