I am interested in growing broom corn this summer. It is a special variety that's top pulls out in neat little bundles, convenient for broom making. I have looked through all my seed catalogs and can't find it anywhere. Can somebody out there give me a hand. I will list the catalogs I've been through to avoid duplication. Thanks. Thanks. > The Redwood City Seed Company, P.O. Box 361, Redwood City, CA 94064 offered broom corn seed in their 1985 catalog at fifty cents a packet. Described as follows: ``(Sorghum vulgare var. technicum) Household and whisk brooms are made by harvesting the tops of this 6-7 ft annual. Cut when the plant is in late bloom. Seed can be used as wild bird food. Sow seed 1-2" deep, 4" apart in May.'' Redwood's current ``Catalog of Useful Plants'' costs fifty cents. Thom Leonard, East West Journal, Brookline, Massachusetts
