[net.garden] Looking for exotic seeds?

I have received two catalogs that carry a large selection of
exotic seeds. The first one, Thompson and Morgan is a standard, though
high priced seed catalog. They carry many houseplant seeds, such as
cacti, palms, and succulents. Their address is P.O. Box 1308, Jackson,
New Jersey 08527 and the phone number is (201) 363-2225. The catalog
is gorgeous. It makes you want run out and start the garden now.
The other catalog is called The Banana Tree. They specialize
in, yes, bananas and other exotic houseplant seeds. Some examples are
protea, adenium obesum (only available every 7 years, called the
Desert Rose, from East Africa), cashews, soursop, monkey puzzle tree
(plants), many palms, succulents, cacti, mangrove and pomegranate, to
name just a few. The address is 715 Northampton St., Easton, PA
18042. The phone number is (215) 253-9589. They say if you're ever in
Easton to drop in. If you're looking for weird, conversation piece
houseplants, this is the catalog for you!
