I've done this several times and never had a problem with the corn
supporting the cukes.  Just don't plant too many cukes.

Also to make stalks stronger remeber to sucker the corn -ie remove
side suckers at base. I usuially do beans rather than cucumbers.
raccoons dont seem to bother me so no help there.
