Last month's (Dec) Scientific American carried an article on the history, and some of the current, designs for improving the aerodynamic drag on the bicycle/rider combination. One of the less expensive solutions is a hemispherical windshield, called a 'Zzipper', that mounts over the handlebars. I'm interested in anyone's experience with one of these, or really any moderately priced, ways to reduce drag on a bike. Specifically, how much improvement do you notice? How does it perform in rain or wind? Any noticable reduction in visibility? This is probably (?) of fairly general interest -- if you have opinions/experience/etc. related to this topic, and are so inclined, why not post it here? Otherwise mail me, and if I get a significant response, I'll post a summary. Scott Maxson tektronix!scottm
