I have talked with a friend who works at Avocet/Palo Alto Bicycles as a representative in sales, and he says that the Avocet speedometer has been delayed due to low chip yield, so few come off the line that work that they have only sample models and demo's. Their speedo is one of a few products being (or supposed to be) made in the USA, ironic that a major USA product is having such trouble being introduced while the imported stuff is being made and available with more ease.
