In general, any time that you expose your eyes (and lenses) to the wind you will have to cope with the drying out that has been mentioned. I have found that my sunglasses help prevent that - and you can even get amber glasses for times when you don't really need much light reduction. While your regular glasses will preclude the problem, I find my useful field of vision is greater with my contacts - who knows, that extra few degrees just might keep you alive! -- Cheers...
