I am in the market for a quality high performance frame that is made of anything reasonable other than the current rage, Columbus SL tubing. My frame size of 57cm is on the borderline between the use of lightweight tubing(SL) and the heavier weights(Reynolds 531, Columbus SP). Since I would like to keep the bike a few years I am opting for the 531 variety(my 1969 Peugot PX10 is still holding up, though its angles are poor for HP). Also, I have had my share of spaghetti bikes, i.e. those both made in Italy and with Columbus SL tubing, and have experienced all sorts of problems, most noteworthy were there lack of stiffness, better known as the old wet noodle. My question is this: does anyone have a line on a reasonably priced($300-500) stock or custom frame made of Reynolds 531 tubing. You can post replies to the net or mail me directly at ihnp4!druxj!bhilden. Thanks, Bruce Hildenbrand ATT IS Denver
