[net.bicycle] Bicycle Books For Bob Paver

ray@bpa.UUCP (RAY BENASH) (04/11/84)

Here are two books that I have used extensively. I maintain
two bicycles, mine and my wifes', and have never run across a problem
yet where either one didn't have the information I needed. The "Complete
Book" contains information and corrective maintenence prcedures on vir-
tually every component, and "Sutherlands Handbook" is great for finding
out exactly what you have and what you need in the way of parts and
components. I have used both books and Frank Berto's articles in bicycling
to set up my own gearing chart and buying and installing the parts necessary
to convert my touring bicycle to a triple with half-step gearing. I also
found the troubleshooting sections in the "Complete Book" very using in
shooting down some strange one I had with my bicycle....I highly recommend
them.
