The TOSRV/NW Safety Pledge. All entrants must read and sign this pledge.

Use good judgement in your cycling, and encourage others to do the same.
Safe riding means observing all traffic signs and regulations. Respect the
rights of drivers and pedestrians. Be courteous to other cyclists. Ride in a
straight line and in a predictable manner, keeping as far to the right side of
the roadway as is practical. Allow plenty of room for faster cyclists to pass
without havings to cross the centerline of the highway. Do not challenge each
cyclist that wants to pass. Keep other cyclists informed of your intentions.
When preparing to pass another cyclist, warn that rider by calling ON YOUR
LEFT (or RIGHT) before passing. Always warn those behind you of an intended
stop or change in direction. When you do stop for a rest or repair job, get off
the roadway immediately, especially on hills. Always look to both sides and to
the rear before changing your line or ride. A majority of minor accidents occur
when cyclists quickly change riding directions before checking for others.

I understand that the personal safety of myself and other cyclists is a stake
when I ride the TOSRV/NW. I will ride in a safe and predictable manner, heed
traffic regulations, and accept any advice offered by TOSRV/NW officials and
fellow riders.
