I would very much appreciate some advice/info on the following subject: does
using a handlebar pack only -- no rear rack -- add dangerously to
instability?
I have an "SR Semi-Pro" bike with racing frame and 27" x 1" Specialized
Touring tires. On my last ride I sensed some instability at high speeds down
the hills, and I'm wondering if I'm asking for trouble by loading up the
front wheel with the handlebar bag (Eclipse Standard).
I would appreciate it if anyone out there in net-land would have any advice
on this subject. Thanks a lot.
NON-RELATED NOTE:
With respect to the discussion on bike helmets, I always wear my Bell Biker
and don't even know its there (practically) because it's so comfortable.
