[net.bicycle] water bottles

For price / performance you can't beat the disposable sterile saline
irrigation bottles used by the medicos. These come in sizes from
500 Ml to 2 Liters. The 500 Ml bottle is just right for an average
bike water bottle. These are made of clear plastic and have aluminum
caps. I have used them extensively in ultramarathon running events
for both stationary and carry along containers. They don't seem to
impart any taste, which might be expected since they are used to
store medical grade reagents. Best of all, your local hospital is
probably just throwing them away and would probably give them to you
for nothing.

By the way, in any prolonged endurance activity you should drink about
250 to 500 Ml of water every half hour. If you can taste your water
bottle, you're probably not drinking often enough.
