The Suffolk Bicycle Riders Association cordailly invites you
to our third annual "Bike-Boat-Bike" ride. This ride will take place
in rural Suffolk County, Long Island on Saturday, June 9, 1984 with
Sunday, June 10 as a rain date. Suffolk County offers many scenic
areas worth photographing, as well as places which have a historic
past, such as the former whaling ports of Greenport and Sag Harbor,
the lighthouse at Montauk and windmills, which are relics of our
colonial past.

The starting point will be Country Time Bicycle, Main Road,
Mattituck, N. Y. Take Long Island Expressway to Riverhead (very last)
exit. Follow route 58 to Mattituck (about 12 miles). Country Time
Bicycle is on the south side of main road in the middle of Mattituck.

                        Rides will be:
        1. Double Metric Century ( 125 miles) 7:00 a.m.
        2. Century ( 100 miles) 8:00 a.m.
        3. Metric Century ( 65 miles) 9:00 a.m.
        4. Easy ride For beginners 9:00 a.m.

All rides will start from Mattituck, east along the rural,
scenic North Fork to Greenport. From Greenport, a ten minute ferry
ride takes us to beautiful Shelter Island. A five mile ride to South
Ferry, and a short boat ride to Sag Harbor. From this point each ride
follows a different route through Long Island's historic South Fork,
on to Riverhead and back to Mattituck. Our members will provide
transportation from the Bridgeport or New London ferries (advance
notice required). The ride offers flat terrain, snacks, map, road
markings, sag wagon service and a custom patch.

Mail this entry form and a check or money order for $4 to the
Ride Chairman by May 20. A fee of $5 will be charged thereafter.
This fee does not include cost of ferry ($2). We look forward to
seeing you June 9.
