Fignon has finished in the top three in the last four races (2nd-3rd-1st-2nd), and charged from over ten minutes behind to over 4 minutes in the lead, and Barteau has had lousy results in the last few races. Lemond has also been doing well for himself the last few races, as has Millar and the Colombians and Spaniards. Hinault is poised to make his move towards the top should Fignon falter.
